LAS VEGAS (July 15, 2007) – Brother International Corporation (Brother), a worldwide thermal label printer technology leader, and Ingram Micro Inc.’s Data Capture/POS Division, show their commitment to the retail industry by launching an exciting new promotion at the RetailNOW 2007 show, July 15-18, at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada (Booth #635). This promotion will involve giving away a complete industrial label printer development kit that includes the Brother QL-1050 & QL-550 Label Printers, label media rolls, and a software development kit – a $500 value* for qualified select developers, resellers and solutions providers.
“Brother has a long, successful history of supplying label printing solutions for small, medium and even large retail accounts; and with our industrial label printers, we now have an even more versatile portfolio of products with innovative features for value-added resellers and solutions providers,” says Ravi Panjwani, Director of Marketing, Brother International Corporation. “We want VARS and solutions providers to experience these product features for themselves and so we decided to make the investment to give them all the tools they need - including the printers!”
Attendees that received a promotional postcard from Brother are eligible. In addition, entrants must have an existing account with Ingram Micro’s Data Capture/POS Division; are currently in the business of providing integrated printing solutions to an existing customer base; and meet all other qualifications outlined in the ‘Label Printer Developer Kit’ rules and regulations. Complete qualifications details will be available at the Brother booth at RetailNOW, and after the show, by contacting Brother Industry Solutions Marketing directly at QL-EvalKit@brother.com.
Brother to showcase full selection of retail printing solutions at RetailNOW
In addition to the Brother QL line, Brother will showcase two other categories of printers – their Mprint™ mobile printers and P-touch® Electronic labeling systems – at RetailNOW 07. The Brother MPrint line of wireless mobile printers are among the world’s smallest, ultra-portable printers, and feature Bluetooth, IrDA, USB and serial connectivity options for use in retail operations. “The MPrint printer is truly a technological breakthrough; our engineers have developed a full-featured printer, in a slim and compact form factor, that prints professional-quality receipts, on demand,” says Mr. Panjwani. “Conventional mobile printers are bulky, heavy and print on receipts that curl. We wanted to give the solutions providers another option for printing applications that require ultimate portability”.
