ROCHESTER, N.Y., Mar. 28—Managing information in real time requires big time productivity, and Kodak helps customers achieve both with a wide selection of production capture scanners and solutions.  In recognition of its innovative, customer oriented and visionary approach to high volume scanning, Kodak won an ECM Connection ACE Award at AIIM On Demand on Mar. 5 in Boston.
The annual ACE Awards recognize vendors who take an active role in promoting education and adoption of enterprise content management technologies for specific markets based on product appeal, overall content and education.
“Kodak has demonstrated an ability to examine customer challenges and provide solutions and products that go beyond pushing boxes,” said Michael Vereb, Senior Account Manager, ECM Connection. “With KODAK Scanners and Solutions, users receive an edge in speed and automation for cutting through document clutter and getting to their core business processes.”

Kodak showcased its award winning line of high volume production scanners at AIIM On Demand. Products on display included the newly enhanced KODAK i1800 Series Scanners with increased compatibility with new operating systems and common file formats and the KODAK s1740 Capture System that allows businesses to quickly and easily sort through documents, checks and forms without excessive manual pre and post sorting processes. The new KODAK i780 Scanner combines high speed and quality so that a business of any size can take advantage of document capture.
“This ACE Award validates Kodak’s commitment to making high volume document processing more efficient for organizations such as service bureaus, insurance and financial companies,” said Rod Hughes, Director of Marketing, US&C, Document Imaging, Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group. “Through integrating first class service and high performance technology, KODAK Production Scanners provide users and their businesses maximum productivity for solving document management challenges.”
“Our businesses standardized on KODAK Production Scanners at all facilities because of the scanners’ reliability, accuracy and high quality results,” said Bob Zagami, General Manager of DataBank IMX’s New England Region. Databank is a national full service provider of imaging and information services and has 10 regional production facilities in the U.S.  “DataBank prides itself in delivering outstanding customer service to our clients in our secure SAS 70 and PCI certified facilities.  Kodak’s production scanner platforms are endemic to delivering this performance.”
Kodak’s Document Imaging group also received finalist honors from the ACE Awards for its distributed scanning products, such as the KODAK Scan Station 100 Network Scanner and the KODAK i1220 Scanner.
