The MBDC is located in Manhattan and is co-directed by a gastroenterologist, (Mt. Sinai faculty) and a clinical psychologist, (N.Y.U. faculty). The MBDC offers other services including a group hypnotherapy program specifically designed for gastro-intestinal symptoms, an acupuncturist and a nutritionist. Testing is available for lactose intolerance and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. In addition to treatment, the MBDC is also engaged in research and has published a number of important research papers. The co-directors have given many professional talks, both nationally and internationally.
